英語の辞書は誤りなきものと考えられている。しかし英国人 Samuel Johnson (1709-84)の言う如くDictionaries are like watches, the worst is better than none, and the best cannot be expected to go quite true.也と申し上げたい。誤りの無い英語の辞書はない。
